That's Right-I Ate Like Crap--Take That You Digital Devil!

So, I told you guys I was going to teach the scale a thing or two! And it turns out, it may be a pound or two...in the wrong direction.

After fighting the good fight yesterday and avoiding Cheetos (thank you for your support on Facebook ladies)...we bought a bag today. Along with a bag of trail mix that includes peanuts, m&m's, chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips.

And then I had fried pickles for dinner.

So I expect to be punished tomorrow on my official weigh in day. But at least the scale will move! hahaha...

Okay...not funny. But I was hoping to at least shake things up and then get back on track.

For all my friends here in the States have a wonderful Super Bowl Sunday!

And one last thing...we have a fellow blogger getting ready to start her band journey! Julie lives in Ireland and would love some support!

  1. Fried pickles. YUMMMMYYYYY!!! Thanks for letting us know about Julie. I have to say I'm a little jealous of her, though because I still have 5 months or so to go before I expect to get banded. I'm reading a lot of blogs from the very beginning to get a feel for what to expect. I've gotten so many good ideas. And given your history, I know you'll recover if you do gain and get back on track quickly. You're going so great and I hope to be a biggest loser like you!

  2. Well that should teach that damn scale! I think upping the calories once in a way works so I'll be crossing my fingers for you tomorrow. Don't sweat it at all...you are fighting the good fight, everyone needs a free day.

Re: Flat Out Flatbread - I got mine at a Schnucks. It is just like burrito wraps or tortilla. Eggface makes hers with Mission Carb Balance Whole Wheat Fajita Size Tortillas. It makes a really nice crispy and thin crust.

  3. An occasional day with not low calories is actually good, it keeps your body/metabolism guessing. It is when it becomes a habit that it is bad.

  8. I'm having one of those weekends too! :(
And I'm due for my dietician visit tomorrow. I'm afraid of what the scale will say. But hey, if I was able to do a better job on my own, I wouldn't be getting banded, right?
I'm so hoping to learn from all you girls here in band-blog-land! Thanks for paving the way for another newbie.
    Blessings,
    Robin

  9. I am going to go on the record and predict a loss for tomorrow. When I am stuck and I get crazy and go way up on calories I usually drop.. especially when greasy food is eaten. I am guessing you will be down at least 1.5 lbs tomorrow. Here's hoping I am right!

  10. I just got finished showing my 18 year old, perfectly sized 6 daughter your bikini pic and she said "she looks good!" Oh, I am watching my Saints play and ate BBQ earlier...it kicked me in the butt and delayed my fill I was planning.

  11. Fried Pickles?? Hmm, never heard of it, but I like the sound of it.. And that trail mix.. YUMMO!!! I'm afraid that if I came to visit the U.S, I would gain some serious pounds my dear.. Why stick to the healthy when the bad sounds so much more fun..
But in all seriousness, perhaps your little indulgance will do you good. Fingers crossed for you, I know only too well what it is like.

  15. I sooo love fried pickles! I had a cheesy poof moment last week during my dark depressed time. I ate some of the corny, cheesy puffy goodness and they were just not as good as I remember (but they were still pretty good!)I tossed the rest of the bag in the trash and dumped the vaccum cleaner dust on top of them just in case I changed my mind!

  16. Oh Amy, you crack me up. I am telling you that pic of you on the couch with your laptop is exactly what I looked like today. Thank God for Lazy Sunday's! I wish you luck on your weigh in tomorrow, hopefully it's not too painful :)

  17. Bummer! Sometimes the snack monster just rears it's ugly head. Shrug those sweet shoulders of yours and do better tomorrow - I know you will. x

  18. Wow, we had fried pickles last night at Toojays after I read your post! (no, I am not copying you~ as much as I want to be LIKE you!) We all have days like that. You always say, it's about a lifestyle not a diet. At least the scale moved! Your bikini looks adorable! You are doing a great job!!!
