The Boat and Home Again

I am happy to report that I have returned! I haven't stepped on the scale yet...I will save that special treat for tomorrow. It was fantastic to see my parents and their new digs! I haven't seen them in four months and I missed them so damn much!

My parents crack me up. My dad kept saying "I can't get over your face." My mom invited her girlfriend over to see the "new me". hahah...yes. It made me feel good. I did get this question from my dad, "How much more do you want to lose?" I told him 20 more pounds until my original goal. He said, "Well don't get too skinny".

That makes me giggle. I don't think I am built for skinny. And it's kinda crazy to even think that would be an issue. I don't think it will be.

I take full responsibility for my snacking this weekend. I will tell ya, I just don't do well when there are naughty things to be found.

I am looking forward to a week of detox!

Time for pictures! Here is my parents boat.
My new swimsuit ala Target. Size large. $17.99.
Do you like the little white non tan marks from my ruffly bikini?

My mom and Tracey driving the big boat.

We took the canoe out for a little upper body exercise. I paddled Tracey around and all the fisherman laughed and yelled funny jokes at us. We also went for a walk and ran the outdoor ampitheatre stairs one morning.

Yes. I travel with the jingle skirt. You just never know when one must perform.

My mom and I playing Yahtzee. She cheats. That's all I have to say.

The sun, the pirate flag, the river. Good times!

  3. Looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully the scale will be kind tomorrow. Tell Tracey it takes a real man to let his woman paddle. Kudos!

  14. First of all your suit is super cute!
Secondly I cannot believe you brought the jingle skirt!!!! That is so funny and so0o Amy!

Third, ok so I don't know why but does it kind of rub you the wrong way when people say HOw much weight do you want to lose? or say something about being too skinny?? I don't know why but it bothers me, like first I am too fat and then too thin ... I'm sure your dad meant nothing by it, but I was just wondering how you felt about that??

  18. Whoa! Who looks amazingly sexy in their black one piece.. OMG Amy, seriously. Dangerous curves ahead. I was looking at the pics and thought what an amazing life your mum and dad live. To stay on a boat 24/7, while I'm sure must be a little hard sometimes? (Yes/no? lol) must be awesome the other 99.9 percent of the time. I love their houseboat, its gorgeous.

  19. Yes Amy!! You look amazing in that black swim suit!!

I believe that I remember you saying that your parents are now living full time on their houseboat? How do they do with the smaller space?

Walt and I are planning on buying a 36'- 40' 5th Wheel to live in. It appears that your parents houseboat is at least the same size as we are looking at. However, they have the upper deck to use as well, so they have much more space to live in than we will have...I just hope we don't kill each other!!

We considered a houseboat as well, but we would be limited to where we could live with it, as he could get jobs almost anywhere and we wouldn't want to have to try to move it around!

Anyway, sorry for the long comment, your parents houseboat looks great!

  21. Wow Amy... echoing everyone else here, but you look wonderful in the suit! Just so darn pretty and NATURAL! Good for you. Loving the boat - I have always wanted to go on a houseboat... someday I'm going to have to try it out! There is a lake near us that you can rent them - we're going in July - I think I might stop by there and take a look-see at what they are like inside!

  22. Hi Amy...the world may not stop when you leave, but we blog-stalkers do miss you and your great sense of humor.
I really want one of these jingle skirts. Don't know what I would do with it because we don't have zumba or belly dancing where i live...I guess I could just dance around the house in it. My husband would think I had lost my mind!
