Mile Marker 7-0

Howdy ya'll! Monday is record weight day and I am officially at 70 pounds lost! You know how those 10-pound markers are the best! That is 31.75 kg is I googled it correctly. That doesnt sound as exciting as 70 though.

My next goal that I had set was 90 pounds by Sept. 3rd. I think if I stay on track I can make that. 20 more pounds in 2.75 months.

Also, I made a quiche for dinner last night. I had never really had quiche before, let alone made it. But it was kinda yummy and full of protein...and it was something different. The only problem with it is that it's not very filling...maybe because it is so fluffy. I didnt do it in a pie crust, I used the recipe for the Bisquick quiche instead.

Here is the recipe.

1-2 cups of your favorite fillings (I used chopped chicken breast, feta cheese, green onions).

1 cup shredded cheese

2 cups milk

4 eggs

1 cup Bisquick

Salt & Pepper.

bake at 425 for 35-40 minutes. I used an 8 x 8 pan.

Mix the eggs, milk, and bisquick together. Pour over the fillings you have already placed in the pan.

Thats it. So simple. I topped mine with sliced tomatoes and real bacon bits. But you could put whatever you wanted in this thing. I think it would be great for the mushie/soft food stage.

I hope everyone's Monday is going well!

Here is a pic my boss took a few weeks ago. I was going to cheat and crop it bc I dont like how my pants are baggy and I have a penis crotch thing going on...but I decided against it since I am always on my soapbox about posting full length shots. I got rid of those pants this weekend though....too big.

  4. And the Award for Miss Smiley of the Year goes to......... Amy!!!! (Cheering in the background.)
You look fan-tas-tic!! 70 pounds gone.. wow. Mind you, 30+ kilos doesn't exactly sound like chicken feed either so you have it nailed whichever way you put it.
Since I start mushies as of this Saturday (or is it Friday since I was banded really early morning.. hmmm) I am nicking that recipe. It looks really yum and I could eat anything not nailed down. I'm not actually hungry though. Does that even make sense? I'm sure not.. lol

  8. You look really pretty -- great photo!! Congratulations on being 70 down. That is just incredible, and you are doing amazingly! Sorry to hear about the flowers and resulting stuck situation. That happens to me, too. Horrible.

I love it that you are helping the woman you work with -- I hope she finds a good solution for herself. And, on the arm surgery, just go to a good surgeon. Those scars can shrink down to being barely noticeable. If the skin is going to bother you, I wouldn't worry about a little line. People will be too busy noticing your lean guns to see it! :)

    Have a great night!

  9. I am going to make quiche tonight with your recipe. I woke up today wanting to make it but all my cookbooks are at home. I have a pie crust in a box I'll use instead of the bisquick. Thanks! Miss ya!
