The Humping Day

Greetings BOOBs, blogger, stalkers, and peeps.  Today is Wednesday in America.  How about where you live?

I am just pluggin along this week.  Doing the damn thing.  Living the good life.  Working.  Working out.  Eating split pea soup for lunch (which was kinda tasty).

I had a good weekend.  Spent it up in Defuniak Springs...water skiing and playing around.  Man.  I don't think I love my body more than when I am skiing.  It is the perfect example of how the band can give your more than jeans that fit.  It has given me a body that works for me.

Sadly, upon consumption of a little substance called beer, skiing becomes a bit more challenging.  Oh, I still get up...but it turns out I fall down and go boom boom sometimes.  And the worst, or possibly the best part, is that it doesn't hurt when you do three somersaults over the wake...until the next day.  Sweet mother of BenGay...I am still sore.

I have no pictures of myself to share from the weekend because NO ONE TAKES PICTURES OF ME!  (bitter much).

So I will share a few I stumbled upon whilst facebooking.

This was taken last week.  Juuuust kidding.  But I was down about 20 pounds I think in this picture.  It was post surgery for sure.

And this one is from early this spring.  Who dat standing up?  ME!  I actually don't mind my legs in this picture.

Kisses!

  1. Everytime I read a post and see old pics of you either pre-surgery or in the beginning stages of post-surgery I just surge with motivation and inspiration.

So glad you had fun in Defuniak Springs!

  4. Amy, I was looking at your FB pics to day and thought if not for your outstretched arm you'd never be in a pic, lol! Love how far you've come!

  5. Bitterness understood! How about asking to have your picture taken more often? I ask my hubs on a regular basis, vanity be damned.
Great beach picture-- so happy to see you so happy.

  6. Amy, I've checked out your blog on and off for the past year but only started properly following a week or two ago. You and I started out at about the same place (I was 324.6), so I just LOVE seeing your progress. Anyway, I'm new to the blogging world, but please stop by mine when you get a chance and say hello:) Now tell your damn friends to take pics of you!

  7. You look fabulous!!!

People will take my picture for me but they don't know how to take pictures so then I get these blurry awful ones, or the ones where your double chin looks like a tire? Yeah, those are pretty! Pffft.

  8. I am an avid photo taker... but even I have to force it sometimes. My brother never wants his photo taken which is so annoying, I am glad you love getting your photo taken, actually you always did even pre-band. Documenting a life lived, at any size! I adore you Amy Sunshine!

  9. Amy, I love your blog! I read the whole thing a few weeks ago and you have inspired me to go ahead and get the Lap Band surgery. I met with the surgeon for the first time today. In six months, I can have my surgery (stupid insurance company rules). I just wanted to tell you how great you are. You know how you feel about Jillian Michaels? That is how I feel about you!
