Many Thanks and Cyber Kisses

I just wanted to thank all of you for the pats on the back! It felt good to do the 5K because I never NEVER walked! I would avoid it at all costs. I am going to do at least one more before Florida becomes hotter than the center of the sun. I think we are going to do the Sunset Run on May 5th. The point is...if a 327 pound girl (which is what I was when I started) can do this, so can YOU! For real. Do you remember when I started? Any of you that have been following my blog for awhile know that I started off with one mile, and just added half a mile every week. That was it! I love all of your guys comments. Seriously. Hope everyones Monday went well. I went to Red Robin again with coworkers for lunch. Took one bite of someones fry...and then ate my soup. BIG MISTAKE! Had to go to the bathroom and up it came. I must be a slow learner!

LOL...the swing is still sitting on the porch...mocking me. Firewood anyone :)

Oh, PS. Do any of you experience the "My Head is Bigger Than My Partner Syndrome". Please see above picture for illustration. I always tell Tracey when we do pictures to make sure his head is in the foreground to balance everything out...sometimes he just doesnt listen!

  1. Don't feel bad - one time I went over backwards in a chair in the sand and couldn't get up because I sank into the sand. My arms and legs flailing about - my husband and family friend just staring at me in awe until my girlfriend said "PICK HER UP!" My husband said I looked just like a bug. Hmphhhh

Thanks for stopping by my blog and keep up the good work!

  2. You are too funny, "My head is bigger than my partner". I don't have that problem, but I'm always trying to stretch out my chin in pictures because I have several of them and always hate how it looks in pictures.

  3. Thanks for posting on my blog, I think this is how I respond to you? You are thoughtful and full of advice. I love your advice for thinking of titles. After I posted I read your post so tomorrow I will try and be witty:) like you:)) Here's another chair story... I was sitting in an aluminum chair in the cafeteria with my 1st grade students during an assmebly. A student of mine left his lunch under the bench in front of him. Thinking of it getting stepped on or lost, i bent down to with my butt still in the chair to grab the bag. Well, down my butt went to the floor and with a big aluminum screech by the chair. You know it's bad when people look at you then look away without a verbal reaction. I was mortified. I kinda sat on the floor like OMG, and was going to laugh it off but it was too quiet in the assembly. My principal was looking a me and looked away quickly. After we left a coworker said "What happened?" He was sitting across the room too. So embarrassing!!!!!!!!
Thanks for blogging. I am signed up for my 5K tomorrow!!!

  4. My goal is to be able to do a 5K with my hubby this time next year. I'm not at ALL a runner, so I have to work up to it.

Don't feel too bad about the swing. Years ago I had my grandparents over for Thanksgiving dinner and only had crappy plastic yard chairs for extra chairs. My grandma went to sit in one and I jumped and told her not to, I was worried it would break under her. I went to sit, and back I went, the back legs decided to do the splits. I just laid there for a few moments, with my feet up in the air, contemplating the cobwebs in the ceiling corner.

  6. I have such a big head that the only hats I can get to fit it are beanies. LOL... I think I took up crochet just so I could make myself more head accessories.
