Tiz-ite

Well, I ate a bowl of chili last night and it stayed down. This morning however, I tried to eat a cup of those little cubed peaches. NO GO! It didnt come up, but I had to give up after several bites. I also had trouble with Greek yogurt. Not because it wouldn't go down, but bc I didnt like it at all! I am not a huge yogurt fan anyways, and only started eating it pre-op...but this was THICK, and white, and left a horrible after taste. Not for Amy. Too bad bc it is full of protein and I know so many of you love it. Maybe if I put some fresh fruit in it and some grape-nuts? Oh well, Tracey will eat it. He is so handy to have around sometimes!

So, I am still tight (tiz-ite). It's kinda scary isn't it when you have that brief thought flash through your head that you are going to die because you can't get food down. lol...I didnt say it was rational. But I will stick to mushies for a bit longer. I don't have any heartburn, or reflux, etc...so I dont think I am too tight, but definitely tighter then I have been in my nearly 7 months. It is interesting and now I dont snack at all bc I am afraid it will get stuck or ruin my meal. I do miss my Fiber Bar for breakfast. Adios for now dear friend. See you in a few weeks!

  2. A few weeks??? Where are you going??? I hope you loosen up a bit before your cruise!!! That could make for a miserable cruise :( You do want to be able to eat the wonderful food right?? Just not too much of it. Also, I thought you had way more in your band than what you posted the other day. You really don't have so much, no wonder you weren't feeling too much restriction. Have a great day!!!

  3. Amy - did you try mixing the greek yogurt with sweetener? I use a splenda and add fruit, walnuts, etc... It took me a few tries, but I love the consistency now. However, you know what works and what doesn't! Take it slow... maybe you can still do your fiber bar in tiny pieces?

  4. I add SF vanilla DaVinci syrup to my Greek yogurt, and sprinkle a bit of Kashi Go Lean Crunch on it. Soooo good, it's one of my favorites.

  5. I think if I add something to the yogurt that gives it a crunch I will be better off. So, I wont totally write it off yet.

As for the restriction, I had a terrible time with soup for lunch...so we will see. If I am still super tight next week I may go back in for a slight unfill. I am just looking at this as a new learning experience.

  6. Not a big fan of the Greek....yogurt either. I wondered what ya'll eat post band to get in enough protein. Guess I know what a good breakfast choice would be. I do love the Fiber One bars too! Yummy!

  8. It's funny. Post band is the first time I've had greek yogurt and I really love it. I bought one today that has a little container of fruit attached to mix it in with. Exciting but scary to be that tight. Wonder how much weight you'll lose??

  9. Personally, I'd only give it a few more days. Being overfilled is absolutely miserable in the long run...been there done that.

  11. I'm Greek and I don't like the Greek Yogurt that much...my favorite is of course Danon with Fruit on the Bottom...mix it with Granola and you have about 400 calories....ouch!
