Do you ever just break out in song?

I sing all the time. I am not good at it, but it just explodes out of my mouth sometimes. Yesterday I went into the bathroom here at work (there are 2 stalls in there), and I was in one singing "You're the cutest thing I ever did seeeee....I really love your peaches wanna shake your tree"...and I realized that sometime during the chorus a lady walked in and was in the stall next to me...I started laughing and said (while still in my own stall), "Sorry, I just can't help it...the acoustics in here are so good".

She said nothing.

I giggled all the way out the door.

  2. Been known to do that myself once or twice Amy... get caught singing by a total stranger.
We have a saying here in Oz.. well, its a word actually. When someone is lovable but kooky and has a tendency to do silly stuff that make ourselves (or others) laugh we call that person a 'dag'. Also known as a 'blonde moment' lol. Sure beats the hell out of the meaning in the dictionary. You'll find a dag is a sheep poo in there. Hold that thought.

  3. i sing during the 10 minute ride to and from daycare with my 8 month old - and he just eats it up.

my mother (the elementary school teacher) taught me a silly song to go with every event - even the most mundane. i get funny looks in the grocery store when i break out the digging peanuts song.

  4. You, my dear, are a certifiable crazy nut and that's what we all love about you. Singing in restrooms in offices is something you have always done - - - at least since I have known you. Some things never change.

  5. I sing out loud all the time, but I challenge myself to change the lyrics. Say there's a song playing and it's in heavy rotation and I'm sick of it. I'll sit there and try to change out the lyrics but keep singing in the same tune. This happens A LOT to me when in the large restrooms in a mall. My goal then becomes how many different voices I can hear laughing and emerging from the stall as if I have no clue who started the singing. ;)
