You May Not Have Been Born With Good "Jeans"...But You Can Buy Them

Here I am...January 27th, 2009...waiting for the placement of Tina. Waiting to be banded. I had lost a few L.B's here...so I was probably at 321.
And here I am today. Weighing in at 167. In my brand new Big Star jeans (that's the brand...I didn't make it up).

I couldn't have imagined being here. But I sure am thankful I made it. And I am glad my girlfriend made me go back into the store and try on jeans. I still don't feel like I fit in. I still feel like the sales girls are looking at me and saying "Lane Bryant is down a few doors". But I am normal (well, as normal as I can get).
And it feels good.
If I did it. You can do it.
You ARE doing it.

  1. Speechless. Yup, that's me. OK, the jeans look amazing. Really. You've lost an entire person-you should name the bitch and tell her she isn't welcome anymore!

  3. Such a great transformation! I am so inspired by your story. Found your website yesterday and read every one of your posts from the start to finish. Quite a story and I'm so happy for you to feel as good as you do and to have found true love! I'm only about four months in but 50 pounds down. I honestly hope I can continue on the same path as you did and get out of LB clothes!! :) Thanks for your words of hope!

  8. i get to go shopping next weekend for the first time since starting this process and at 70lbs down and a size 14 i'm excited and scared that i can no longer rely on LB or Avenue... I don't know WHERE to shop.... and how crazy that i will be able to buy something because it LOOKS good and not just because it actually fits!

  19. Love the jeans.

But I'm also fixated on the surgery socks, I have to admit. I kept mine and wear them around the house all the time. Very fashion forward.
