Saggy Skin and The Dangly Bits

Things are happening on the skin front my friends. And mommy no like it.

It seems to me that these last 7-10 pounds I have lost...so somewhere between 180 and 170...the loose skin has taken a turn for the worst. I've got the Shar Pei wrinkles going on.

I might post some pretty revealing pictures if I ever find a place to take them! The wrinkles start in the belly button region and move on "downtown". They could be worse, I just worry about what will happen in another 10 pounds! My boobs are even sadder. Sad sad sad!

Which leads me to "the bits"...the lady bits that is. Let me see...how do I put this delicately?

With increasingly less meat and/or fat that makes up the neither regions, the dangles have gotten more...pronounced. They are free-er now and are about and about in all their glory. Seriously. Don't any of you work for Guinness book of world records? I took a good LONG (pun) look at them the other day and was mesmerized. They are rather ridiculous!

sigh

In other news, I wish I needed a fill because I miss Dr. Friedman! But my restriction is still pretty good so I guess I cant complain. It has been 6 months since my last fill.

OH! Speaking of fills and all things ridiculous! My port is very pokey these days. When I am working out and I am doing shoulder presses or anything with my hands over my head, I can see the damn thing sticking out! And when I am laying on or pressed up against other human beings, they can feel it too!

It's funny because when I first made Heather touch my port she didn't like it. It freaked her out. Now guess what? When we are out in public, she rubs the damn thing! Like without even thinking about it, if she is behind me with her arms around my stomach she will just be rubbing my little port baby.

Ha! Have you had your port baby rubbed lately?

  1. Pronounced danglies are quite the hot commodity in certian circles. I know people who actually use weights to make that happen. I wonder what the Guiness record is for that? Oh and my husband is freaked out by my port. Me, I press it and I giggle liek the Pillsbury dough boy.

  3. I will keep you posted a) when I can actually see "china" again, and b) when I can feel my port. Both will be awesome NSV's!

  4. I am SERIOUSLY so scared of the "deflated elephant skin" that I've started eating ice cream every night as a preventative measure.
I am honest to goodness thinking I like me as I am right now. I saw someone in a swimsuit the other day and she's lost more than 1/2 of her body weight. Oh Ma GAWD! NO THANK YOU!!! Now I just thought of it again. SHITBALLS! I'm going for ice cream right now.
Seriously - what are we going to do????!!!!

  5. I love my port baby. I need to introduce Matt (or one of the other two potential suitors) to it so they can rub it too. PRESH.

  6. Just commented on your last post -- don't know how I missed that one, but I'm really happy for you! On the skin front, my girls were looking a bit droopy for a while, but after a plateau and some really slow loss, they snapped back. Maybe taking it slow will help?

  7. At this point, I'm thinking I'll still gladly take the Saggy Baggy (former) Elephant look.

    Those puppies are too cute.
Wait, you mean to tell me I won't look cute like those puppies when I have loose saggy skin everywhere?

  8. i always make my BF (and pretty much everyone else!) touch my port :-)

my boobies are DROOOOOOOOPY....when i don't have a bra on i look practically flat chested with a nice muffin top made of bboob... bleh

  9. Both of my fears...saggy everything and my port sticking out. I'm only five weeks post op and I can feel my port. My children refuse...they think it is too weird. It would bother me if it was sticking out. My dr. said if it was a concern down the road after weight loss, he can always reposition it. You look wonderful in pix...you have age on your side!!!
Maybe like Catherine said...maybe things will "snap back" later. Sounds good anyway!

  10. I can already see the sagginess starting, not only in my girls, but my lady bits as well. In fact, I recently asked my husband what he likes so much about my lady bits considering how turkey neck-ish they are! Maybe I should put down the hand-held mirror! lol

I do find myself absent mindedly rubbing my port. Hubby on the other hand doesn't want to touch it. Drives him batty!

  12. I think that entire post was written just so you can give us visual images of how adorable you and Heather are with your arms about each other, gazing into eyes and acting all in love. For those of us who have been with our partners so long that we're starting to look alike, I say 'blech' to your cuteness. ;-)

  13. I have noticed I am not so plump, not dangly as yet, but certainly getting danglier! sigh...just something else we have to worry about!

  14. I just started laughing when I read this post. 1. my sister owns a Shar Pei, so the mental visual was giggly and 2. I wonder if this will happen to me. I've never liked the look of dangly pits when I looked at porn (opps did I type that out loud) often looking to make sure mine didn't look like that, LOL.

I worry about loose skin after I lose this weight. Ahhh well.

  15. I fear my lady parts will eventually be knocking my knees someday. I look forward to losing the weight but the sagging skin is frightening!

BTW, I think you are Heather are ADORABLE! Do what you feel is right no matter who it is with! You go girl! Word!

  19. I love my port baby. I rub it all the time like rubbing Budda's belly lol.
My daughters call it my alien baby. I can also flip it over.
I am not at the saggy skin stage yet, long way to go "sigh" but I have lost weight previously and its scary how saggy things can get. I have a money box for spare pounds towards plastic surgery in the far and distant future.
Maybe bulldog clips around the back?????

  20. I'm wondering do they have collegen lip fills for your labia

  21. OK, *sigh* of course I'm going to be the one to know something like this but...

    mondolabia.com

If you REALLY want to do comparisons. I should state emphatically that it is NSFW. In fact, it's probably not safe for any of the women who can't bring themselves to type out "period" and use cutesy abbreviations.

And I still feel too much trunk meat to feel my port at all, so can't help you there.

  22. That's one of my biggest worries with the weight loss. I still have a ways to go and wonder what this body of mine will look like at goal. Sigh!

I used to get a bit freaked out if I actually felt my port, but it's kind of comforting now to know it's there. Hubby doesn't like it at all and makes sure to avoid the area.

I'm catching up on blogs and missed your previous post. Feeling like you're home with someone is priceless. All the best to you and Heather.

  23. My husband is completely freaked out by my port. I haven't yet lost enough for it to be pronounced. As for the ladybits... well, we all love you no matter how low they go.

  24. I'm hoping my hubby will be okay with my port once I lose the ton of weight I know I'm going to lose after my APPROVED surgery on July 9th.

  25. I can feel my port SO easily now - it's like a little button alien sitting under the skin.
I love the way I have come down in size 'down there' lol. No dangly bits for me (pleased about that!!) I sure do feel for you though. It seems saggy skin abounds and it can be just the last few pounds that do it too. Ack.

  27. Amy, congrats on 'coming out'! Everything I want to say sounds like a cliche in my head-- so I'll just say that I am a huge supporter of the LGBT community and admire your authentic life choices. I hope your journey of self discovery leads to ever greater self-actualization and contentment.
I wish you and your new girlfriend happiness and love in your lives.

  28. Hi Amy! I am currently making my way through your archives...up to December 2009, lol. I am amazed at your journey so far, and this has given me the confidence to seriously start investigating lap band surgery. Your blog is very amusing and full of information. Thanks!

  30. Just catching up and left a note on the last blog.

As far as this one goes...just get those dangles pierced...bling makes everything beautiful.

  31. I know you said Tracy never minded the lady bits but when you said you were dating a woman, I got a little nervous for you...er, her...both of you I guess. (You give us TMI, you get TMI back!)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Once again, thanks for all the TMI :) It's the stuff we want to know..you know we do! LOL I am set to be banded on August 9th (YAY!) and the skin issue is THE thing that worries me most. But, being able to be healthy is more important...maybe one day there will be more surgery options that insurance will cover considering so many people have this done now. Dangly bits or not, I hope I look as good as you do! You've done an amazing job!

  34. When we wanted something dangly... we were talking about some shiny, sparkly jewelry not a Va Jay Jay that hits our knees... Pretty soon, Mini skirts for me will be floor length. Well, Jennifer Love Hewitt bedazzles her lady area...(her book, The day I shot Cupid... Pretty funny) so maybe we can have our cake and eat it too. Great now, I'm craving cake. You are truly an inspiration! *Maria*-from "This on time at Band Camp..." Check out my blog at mybigfatbandgeeklife.blogspot.com
