- I am a chronic make-believer. I amuse myself. I break out in random song at least 6 times an hour. I am me. I was banded on 1/27/2009. I look better tan. I am a mermaid. I believe you should give more than you take, laugh more than you cry, and eat cheetos when the urge arises. I have always been a dreamer. Life is unpredictable and I realize everyday how lucky I am. I think you should walk with your head up, shoulders back, look people in the eye, smile, have a good handshake, and be honest. I love cold sheets, colder air conditioning, swimming, my family, my animals, and my friends.

First of all, I was transfixed (in a good way) by how lovely white your teeth are. You look great all over, don't get me wrong. And your teeth look like a million bucks!
ReplyDeleteAs for the personal stuff, you've got your head screwed on straight. Being strong during a difficult and emotional time is a sign that you're a smart cookie (but we knew that already). You're right about making decisions based on happiness rather than on sadness.

ReplyDeleteI don't know if I should say this because I don't want you to think I'm preaching, because I've been on both sides of what you are going through. I was the person who had to leave someone I had been with for 5 years and bought a house with, because I didn't feel he was who I wanted to be with for the rest of my (we weren't married and in retrospect can say it definitely was the right decision). On the other side, I was also told by my husband after we had been married for 7 years (can you say 7-year itch) that he didn't love me any more and had fallen in love with someone after a month. He thought he had found his soulmate because he had fallen for this other woman so quickly. In actuality, he hadn't fallen in love with her - he had fallen in love with that new feeling, being with someone he had no responsibility to, didn't have to pay bills with, didn't have to raise children with, didn't see on their worst days, and various other reasons that were beyond my control. Luckily, he came to his senses and we are now at 16 years and counting. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it is possible to develop strong feelings for someone quickly. That new feeling is very strong and can sometimes blind us from the person who has been there through the bad and the good. However, please know that ultimately I just want you to be happy and you are the only one who knows what is truly the right decision. XO

ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning the beaches. I live 4.5 hours from Pensacola and my husband and I normally go down there at least 3 times a summer for quickie beach trips. I keep seeing conflicting reports about the state of the beaches there, so I never know what to do! :( I know that the media is trying to make sure that everyone knows the terrible state of what has happened, but if they would give accurate beach reports then maybe more tourists (like me!) would show up.

I feel for you Amy, you've got a hard decision to make and it's soooo hard to compare the exciting and thrilling new passionate feelings with the mellow not so passionate anymore ones of a longer term relationship and try and decide which one is the real and right one...I really, really don't envy you that. It might help to ask yourself how you felt for Tracy at the early stages (and compare like with like) did you feel as though he was THE ONE? Whatever you decide you can rest assured you will NEVER end up as that crazy cat lady. Apart from your good looks, your shining personality will see to that lady! You know it too...just look at all the fuss the new figure's causing amongst the male hormones out there!!! xx
