Oh Come All Ye Faithful

Hello dear friends! My life has been chaotic and yes...yes...I have become one of those bloggers who have left their blog to the coyotes to be devoured in an empty pasture somewhere (see, I havent lost my flair for the dramatic).

The funniest things happen when you are busy trying to lose weight...most specifically...LIFE. But I havent forgot about you or me. I am still busy making a mess out of things, but I am holding steady.

For those of you interested in my personal life, I will throw you a bone. I am staying with my sister for awhile. It was too hard to see Tracey so sad. My parents think I am coo coo, Tracey is holding out hope, my coworkers smile and nod...and as for me...well I am not sure. All of this is like an emotional rollercoaster where I can be on a high from freedom or a low from guilt.

Wonders of wonders, my weight has held steady. As of this morning, I am at my new all time low of 182.5. I havent really been weighing myself though, bc I have been sans scale, but I have my scale now and will get back to monitoring that. This week my band has been tight. Turns out Tina doesnt like all the drama so much. I think it is crazy how our bands react to emotions.

On the workout front, still plugging along there. We did the craziest thing the other morning. Heather calls it "The Hundreds". I call it hell. You do 100 reps of the same thing...without stopping. But, you do it with considerably less weight than you would normally do. For example, if I normally shrug with 35 pound dumbells, when you do 100 I shrugged with 15. You should have seen me try to do 100 pushups. hahahahah...by the end I was pushing up off of the wall and listening to Heather call me a sissy. If I had the strength I would have punched her in the throat. With love of course.

My calves are so sore this morning that when my feet hit the floor getting out of bed, my entire body almost hit the floor as well.

Crazy drama at work as well. My boss resigned after being called to a come to Jesus meeting.

You just never know how life is going to come at you!

I hope everyone else is well.

Thank you for all the love and support.

I hope you havent forgotten me!

  1. I so love your blob. I'm pretty new to the game and one of the first things I did was go back to the beginning and read. So inspiring. So moving. So damn funny! Like my mama says, no matter how many turns life bring you just hold on tight and enjoy the ride!

  4. Glad to hear you are working this out in you head and it's important that you need to do what you need to make you happy. You have to take care of yourself first. It's not being selfish, just being true to yourself. Great job on the 100 reps...I would die!! Keep up the good work and just know that you do look fabulous. My husband thought you were smoking when I showed him your before and afters!

  5. I was thinking about you today Amy and wondering how your personal situation was working out. After losing my Dad and Brother-in-law in that horrific accident on 5/11/10, your words "You just never know how life is going to come at you!" have never been more true!

Follow your heart my friend...life really is too short not to.

  9. No matter what life throws at you...you always have your sense of humor and the ability to make others smile. :) That is a gift! Now back to this "100 thing"...100 of anything is overdone and overrated. :) Tell that to Heather!

  10. So good to hear from you, I was about to send you an email just to let you know I was thinking of you and hoping you're doing well.

The 100 reps sounds crazy, not crazy as in a bad idea just crazy in the omg, I would be one hurting unit by the time I was done. and pushups, 100? OMG, you deserve a medal for that!

Much love to you Amy, it was nice to hear from you.

  11. Oh my your trainer sounds hard. I thought mine was a powder puff until I tried to move the next day. Why is it that sitting on the toilet is the hardest thing to do after doing weights?!?!? My mom suggested getting a handicap toilet and I seriously thinking of it!

I hope everything smooths out soon! Congrats on your new low!

  16. Not much to say, but that I love you. I think you know how I feel about the staying with the sis thing...good way to clearly think :)

    Love you

  17. I was thinking about you yesterday and hoping things were okay. Staying with your sis is perhaps a good thing to help you work through it all, without seeing those around you hurting to, takes "some" of the pressure off, if you know what I mean.
    Sending hugs.

  18. Every time you talk about your band I have to read it twice...Should I name mine Amy?

I hope things work out for the best!

Tina (not your band but the other one out there in the blogosphere)

  24. Keep your head up, I believe you are doing what you have to do. I think that staying at your sister's is a great idea. And, when you do feel the high from freedom - please enjoy it. Push the guilt feeling away for as long as you can. This is about YOU and exploring your new life. You deserve to be completely, 100% happy. You will get there! <3
