So, I was at the grocery store today (Publix) and saw these little guys by the checkout. I picked one up and thought what the heck. They are one serving of fruit...and apparently...fruit in a pouch is very big in other lands. The have no preservatives, no colorings, no additives, no fat, no genetic modification, no water added, no dairy or gluten...nothing artificial. Pretty yummy. I immediately thought of those of you on mushies (really I think this could qualify as a full liquid). They do not have to be refrigerated...unless opened.
If you want more info, their website is here.

I saw these once at Toys R' Us and really wanted to try it but wussed out. Maybe I will be brave like you and get one! P.S. I think you are knocking on Onderland's door and will quickly pass me by with your massive loss. Here's to 4 lbs down this week!
ReplyDeleteI have seen them in Publix here, but am too afraid to try them. I think I will pick up a couple next time I am there. Thanks for the info Amy1
ReplyDeleteThe only things like that I've seen over here in the UK are in the baby food aisle. But, if it's good enough for the little people...
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy...
ReplyDeleteOMG - I wish we lived where there was a Publix (the only thing apart from my family that I miss about the south)!
ReplyDeleteThese kinds of fruit drinks are so popular in the Netherlands. They have them in every grocery store and little quick-mart in the train stations. I think the pureed fruit in a bottle is like part of their religion!
Those look awesome, I will be in Publix like 6 times this week I am sure! Will pick some up to try! By the way, I am sure you are gonna bust through the onederland door so soon!
ReplyDeleteHow many cals are in one bag?
ReplyDeleteis it like a smoothie or more of a juice????
ReplyDeleteThat sounds yummy. Not sure where to get them around here, I will have to look!
ReplyDeletei just made my own fruit compote 2 days ago i made little pots to bring to work with me there is 2 fruit in each. its hard to find in pouches like those here in the uk, the only alternative is organic baby food pots but it is quite expensive on the long term.
ReplyDeleteOoh...I will have to look for those. I'm going on the presumption that I WILL get banded...so I've started my shopping list already. I have never heard of Publix...I wonder what stores around me might carry them?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info!
We live in Missouri and go to Pensacola each spring (my favorite place to go!!). Publix has the BEST cake I've ever had in my entire life=) I say that now b/c I'm living in bandster hell!! BooHoo. We transported a cake all the way back last year for my son's birthday. Best cake and yummy fruit drinks too!! WooHoo
ReplyDeleteDo you know how much I miss PUBLIX?!? can't wait for our vacation so I can go there :)

I've seen these too. Thanks so much for sharing! I will keep this in mind. I love Publix.
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks Amy....these will serve me well before and after my banding. I have a Publix about 4 niles from my house!
ReplyDeleteI've written it down in my list of "Great Ideas For When I Finally Get Banded." Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWow. Fruit in a bag. It sounds so delicious like "wine in a box". Thanks for the tip, girlie.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and a transportable snack. Have to try and find it in Oz
ReplyDeleteI stumbled across your blog about a week ago and feel like I know everything about you now. I have been reading non-stop (at work, of course). I can only hope I have the success that you are having from the band. I am waiting for insurance approval.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love the blog and you are such an inspiration.
I tried to find you on fb but didn't have any luck. Are you still there?
Marcia
Wish we had something like that here in Az, I'm going to have to look around now. Seems so convient to just throw in your bag and not have to refrigerate!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yay, I'm going to check out Publix post op when I get to the mushy stage.
