What's That Look in Your Eyes?

It's called HUNGER.

My boss asked me why my eyes looked funny today. We both decided I have the look of a very hungry woman.

ooohh...I wish I could stream Patrick Swayze's song...Hungry Eyes (from Dirty Dancing)...

I am on my liquid diet. It started yesterday, and will continue until the day of surgery. And then, proceed to continue for 2 weeks afterwards. It is a clear liquid protein shakes.

I didnt realize how much I enjoy chewing on crunchy things until I can't put something crunchy in my mouth. I ate some ice last night. It's not the same. I did enjoy my chicken broth though after a day of water, jello, and shakes. I am already thinking about it for dinner tonight.

I had a dream that I was at a wedding reception/business meeting and I started eathing Long John Silvers chicken planks. And then Long John Silvers baby back ribs (it was a dream!) Anyways...I realized what I had done, was worried my liver was going to be too fatty for the surgery...and had to find a place to throw up. SO, this was actually a blessing because I woke up and was so relieved that I hadn't pigged out...I knew I wasn't going to cheat today!

  1. I enjoyed reading your blog and you post on lapbandtalk. And the picture! You are beautiful. I have been banded for 6 months and don't regret a minute of it. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself. On the liquid diet, sorry, can't help you with that one except to say that seasoning the broth makes it taste even better. I like to add a little sage, pepper and garlic powder. I never found a protein drink I liked, but I used the New Whey protein bullets after surgery because they were quicker to drink and get the protein grams in.
Good luck during the next two weeks and keep updating. I would subscribe, but I don't have a google account. I will just check back often. Oh, and keep posing on lapbandtalk. It is a wonderful place to get information and make friends who know what you are experiencing.
